Dear Readers,
Last week Distant Reaches went to its second convention, this one in Los Angeles!
I spent all of Saturday, June 17, at Q Con in West Hollywood, repping the Distant Reaches, our zines, and two of our writers: Andy Jiang, writer of the farce The Forbidden Fools’ Stools and the bleakly hilarious Stanislow Fails Again; and Isabelle Platt, writer of the funny, heartfelt Swimming in the Swamps of Love.

I want to say thank you to all of the attendees who passed by our booth, signed up for our emails, and bought ou zines! A few very very lucky patrons walked away with signed copies of Isabelle’s Swamps of Love zines.
We are still raising money on Indiegogo! Right now, we’ve raised $2,125 — just more than 20% of our fundraising goal. Supporters have unlocked two bonus Secrets of Amal entries — one of an excerpt from an ancient war epic, and another of a trio of witticisms from a famous Amalcross satirist.
When we reach $3,000, we’ll publish the recipe to the famous pasta dish served at the Lake Kine House of Noodles and Divinity. Ben assures me this is a real recipe and that it is indeed delicious. I would love to try it, but first we need to hit our goal.
Your support helps us continue to provide you new short fantasy fiction every week, as well as longer fictions, an upcoming magazine and serialized fiction, and more new projects. Plus, you help us pay the writers and artists who bring the Distant Reaches to life!
If you are enjoying the stories and art from the Distant Reaches, please consider donating to our crowdfunding campaign. Any amount helps! And if you can’t donate at this time, please spread the word about the Distant Reaches.
There’s plenty more to explore, and we hope to discover it together with you!
Cheers,
Robert
